Existing members will receive $50 for each of the following actions completed by their referral:

Refer a new DFCU Member promotion is valid March 15, 2025, through April 15, 2025, and is subject to change without notice. New Members are defined as a person 18 and older who has never been an owner of an account at DFCU. All new accounts will be verified by ChexSystems® and are subject to approval and Membership eligibility. The maximum cash bonus referrer can earn is up to $150 - this is the cash awards breakdown: Referring Member will receive a $50 cash bonus when referred Member opens a Shield Advantage or Elite Checking Account within 7 days of referral. Referring Member will receive an additional $50 cash bonus when the referred Member establishes a minimum monthly direct deposit of $500 within 60 days from established Membership. Referring member will receive a $50 cash bonus when referred Member funds a minimum $5K personal loan or a minimum $10K auto loan within 30 days of referral. Loan approval is not guaranteed and based on DFCU’s standard loan underwriting guidelines, including but not limited to: income, debt-to-income ratio, good membership standing, credit history and credit score. The referring member must be a DFCU Member and in good standing to be eligible for the offer. To learn what good standing is and to see DFCU loan rates and terms visit www.downeyfcu.org.
