Student Enrichment Grants — For Teachers Annually in December, we award grants ranging from $250 to $1,000 to deserving educators within our membership field, which can be utilized for enriching student experiences through equipment, field trips, or specialized programs.
Bite of Reality — Program For High School Students Bite of Reality Logo Bite of Reality is a money management app simulation for 9th to 12th-grade students, where they create monthly budgets by navigating real-world profiles and visiting stations to experience financial decision-making, including interactions with salespeople and expenses, offering a hands-on glimpse into personal finance.
MoneySmart Jr. — Program for Elementary School Students MoneySmart JR Logo Money Smart Jr. is a financial education game for 3rd to 5th graders, challenging them to make wise spending decisions as they navigate through six stations, managing income and expenses while learning essential money skills.
Other Financial Wellness Presentations DFCU regularly hosts financial education presentations at local schools, churches, and community centers. We have presented on topics such as: Home-Buying, Credit Cards, Saving for College, Credit Building, And More! We also create and customize presentations based on the needs of our audience. Annual Percentage Rate. DFCU's EDUPerks Visa Credit Card of 0% APR is exclusive to those DFCU members who are educators or school personnel. Proof of employer will be requested. Member must sign up for, or have, payroll direct deposit with DFCU of at least $500 per month and an open DFCU Checking Account in order to be eligible for this Visa Credit Card. DFCU will ask for proof of direct deposit into an open DFCU account before funding the credit card. Auto payment must also be set-up at the time of funding. If the direct deposit or auto payment is canceled, the discounted rate will be reverted to the standard DFCU Classic Visa rate the member qualifies for at the time of funding, which is determined by creditworthiness, FICO/Credit Score and other factors. Rates may change at any time without notice. Approval of a EDUPerks Visa Credit Card is determined by creditworthiness, FICO/credit score and other factors. $25 minimum deposit to open. $20,000 maximum balance. Exclusive account for school district employees (10-month salary employees). No dividends for balances under $100; earns dividends when your balance exceeds $100. Dividends compounded daily and paid quarterly. No monthly fee. Early Withdrawal or Closure: account must be closed and cannot be opened again until July 1st.

APR = Annual Percentage Rate. Must be DFCU member in good standing and be employed at a school or school district for at least two consecutive years to be eligible for this loan. Member must sign up for, or have, payroll direct deposit with DFCU of at least $500 per month and an open DFCU Checking Account in order to be eligible. DFCU will confirm direct deposit before loan funding. Maximum loan amount is $25,000 and maximum term is 60 months, and must have debt-to-income ratio of 45% or less in order to be considered for loan approval, other standard underwriting guidelines apply which include creditworthiness, FICO/credit score and other factors. Auto payment must be set-up at the time of funding. Loan approval not guaranteed. Loan funds will be sent directly to creditors, with no cash back provided to the member. Depending on underwriting stipulations, credit lines may need to be closed. Other rates and terms are available. Rates are subject to change without notice.

A member in good standing meets all membership requirements, including maintaining the $5 par value in the required savings account. Member must not be suspended, expelled, or withdrawn from membership and should be current on dues or payments. This status ensures full access to credit union services, products, and voting rights.
